Have you ever browsed through the user-generated photo album on our Facebook page? It is pretty fascinating, because you can use it to trace the show back to its beginnings last summer (when the contestant call first started and people uploaded webcam photos of themselves in flattering poses), through to the live auditions (when we started to see some shots from the producers' cross-Canada tour), right through to today, when fans and contestants alike have taken it upon themselves to share everything from fan art, to body art, to Wipeout-inspired desserts.
Our favourite addition of late is by 4-year-old Malachi Gach from Calgary, who has turned his love of Wipeout Canada into a series of Impressionistic sketches (pictured). There are five in total, and they're all terrific. Go Malachi! May you one day get to experience the Wipeout course for yourself.
In other news, Episode 5 airs this Sunday! And it's a doozy. Jessica will tell you all about it in her post tomorrow, but you can get a head start by meeting the contestants here. This week's group includes a "hungry man" from Vancouver, a flying "spandex man" from Abbotsford and a nudist from Cambridge (who you may recall from Jonathan's post earlier this week).
Remember, you can check out full streaming episodes, contestant interviews from past weeks, and much more in our video centre. Interviews from our Athletes Episode are coming soon!
