The Next Episode: Beauty is in the Eye of the Qualifier
Posted by TVtropolis at 10:00 AM 04/13/2011

According to an adware-infested quote site that we just checked, Socrates once said that beauty is a short-lived tyranny.

Whether or not that tyranny reigns supreme in the Beauties vs. Geeks episode of Wipeout Canada is a question that can only be answered this Sunday, when belles and brains literally collide for a battle royal that will answer the question once and for all (or not really, but let's use it for dramatic effect).

We could go on (or show you the Episode 3-inspired Blingee that we laboured over [actually we'll do that anyway]), but as always, the contestants are their own best spokespeople. Meet this week's brave souls by visiting our episode guide, and don't forget to come back on Friday for Jessica's preview of the action ahead.

Chill out buddy. It's a themed episode which is why it was different the the rest. Not all episodes are for children. Pretty sure that's why they made a KIDS WIPEOUT. Maybe your kids should stick with Barney

The Beauties vs. Geeks show was tasteless and crass. Certainly not appropriate for young kids. I have three kids under 8 years old and they LOVE the US version because it's funny AND family-friendly. (...we PVR the show so they can replay it every day after school ). The Beauties vs. Geeks was in bad taste all around. Not only is the theme offensive (ie. having to explain to your kids what "geeks" are ), but many of the contestants were classless. Having a transvestite rubbing his nipples, or some bimbo claiming that if she wins the money she'll get "bigger boobies" ... nice... Good wholesome fun for the family... NOT ! I was really disappointed in the entire show, and my wife and I both agreed this will no longer be a show worth watching.
