A hero is someone who is admired for their courage, brave deeds, and noble qualities. You might say a hero is a police officer, firefighter, teacher or your parents. Well, this week on Wipeout Canada, we have twenty heroes we'd like to introduce you to... because it's time for another themed episode: The Heroes Edition! As Jonathan and Ennis say, "We honor these heroes by embarrassing them on National television!"
This episode will have you laughing at men and women from across Canada that are true heroes. Other potential highlights include Jonathan's beautiful singing voice, Ennis' man-purse, and a quick glimpse at my contract. (Read it if you can... #50 is my favorite. You won't understand #54 yet, but as soon as you watch one of our upcoming episodes, it'll all make sense.)
Anyway -- time to meet some heroes!
Master Corporal Sandra Classon from BC, decided to join the military at the age of 43 and has been serving our Country for 11 years now! This amazing grandmother has a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to be around.
Andrew Pearson of Jasper, Alberta is a Paramedic that has been part of a long list of impressive jobs. Some of which are Rafting Guide, Ski Patroller and Avalanche Technician. He actually skied around with explosives in his backpack! You couldn’t pay me enough to do that! Andrew is a fun guy to be around and a total adrenaline junkie if I’ve ever seen one.
Tania Doyle, a soldier and mother of three from Toronto, ON. is in such great shape we called her G.I. Jane. Tania even put me through a workout during our interview and I could barely keep up with her. Tania, you’re an amazing person and I hope I look as good as you when I have kids!
Police Detective Crystal Malachowsky from Virgil, ON had one of the most impressive costumes of all season. She paper-mached a big red ball, dangled a monkey on it, and put it on her head - Genius! Crystal had so much energy and was a ball to be around! (Okay -- that was a little cheesy but it had to be said.)
Lets honor some of our Canadian heroes by sharing some laughs on Sunday at 8pm ET/PT on TVtropolis!
Until next week,
Jessica Phillips
